GRAPHMIM2000 Series

The GRAPH MIM 2000 Series is a graphite-based debinding and sintering furnace platform designed to consolidate second-stage debinding and sintering into a single, automated thermal cycle. It eliminates part transfer between steps, improving yield, density consistency, and process repeatability for both MIM and metal additive manufacturing workflows.

The GRAPHMIM2000 series is positioned as a high-performance solution for both traditional MIM and sinter-based additive manufacturing (Metal AM) processes. It is designed to thermally break down polymer binder materials and sinter iron-based metal parts in various atmospheres, including nitrogen, argon, and vacuum.

System Features

Core Capabilities

One-Step Debind + Sinter
Processes any metal with any binder system in a single continuous cycle, reducing handling, contamination risk, and cycle variability.

Graphite Hot Zone Architecture
Unlike Elnik’s all-metal refractory systems, the GRAPHMIM 2000 utilizes graphite components while maintaining identical laminar gas-flow principles for consistent binder vapor evacuation.

AccuTemp® Six-Zone Control
Proprietary thermocouple control maintains ±1 °C temperature uniformity across six independent zones, enabling operation near material solidus temperatures for higher final densities without distortion.

Intelligent Process Control (IPC)
Ensures uniform physical and metallurgical properties across all parts in a batch by dynamically managing process parameters throughout the thermal cycle.

Advanced Binder Trapping
Coldfinger™ debind trap with forced flow improves binder capture efficiency and includes automatic cleaning for both the trap and dry vacuum pump system.

Applications

The GRAPHMIM2000 Series supports:

  • Metal Injetion Molding (MIM)

  • Sinter-Based metal additive manufacturing

  • Processed Metals include Stainless Steel 400 series & 17-4, Tool Steel, Low Alloy Steel, Tungsten-Based Alloys, and Precious Metals

  • Annealing, Brazing, Agening, and Tempering- atmospheres-

  • Operation under nitrogen, argon, and vacuum atmospheres

There are multiple size options available on the GRAPHMIM2000 depending on requirements and product requirements. With three decades of expertise in debinding and sintering excellence, the GRAPHIMIM2000 platform is built for throughput, scalability, and reliability.
